Background Description / Mission Statement

The People's Insurance Company of China Group (PICC Group) is a conglomerate company which focuses on insurance and finance with registered capital of 15.5 billion Yuan. 58 years of history have seen several great transformations of PICC and the company has made tremendous contribution to the development of insurance market, the cultivation of the talents and the update of insurance technology. PICC plays a positive role in the economic development, social stability, prosperity of the country and the people's welfare because of its efforts. During the period of the "10th Five-Year Plan", PICC has developed from a single company to the modern insurance group with 8 subsidiaries and more than 4500 branches. The 8 subsidiaries are: PICC Property and Casualty Co., Ltd, PICC Asset Management Co., Ltd, PICC Health Insurance Co., Ltd, PICC Life Insurance Co., Ltd, PICC (Hong Kong), Ltd, Zhongsheng International Insurance Brokers Co., Ltd, China Insurance Brokers Co., Ltd, and PIBC Zhongyuan Insurance Brokers Co., Ltd. The group has extended its business from non-life insurance to various fields such as life insurance, health insurance, asset management and insurance brokers.
